NBA 21 MyTeam Unlimited Tournament Is Back

NBA 21 is hosting another round of the MyTeam Unlimited tournament. This contest took place last year and it was so popular that the game developer decided to organize it again. As you can guess from the name, the tournament is played using MyTeam Unlimited mode.

This mode is in the game since 2019 but it got an update for the 2020 game edition. The tournament welcomes all PlayStation4 and Xbox One player. The contenders will be playing five versus five games. They will build their lineups by choosing 13 cards from their roster.

The MyTeam Unlimited tournament has a pre-qualifying phase. There will be such a phase at the start of each season. NBA 21 features seasons. Each season lasts for several weeks and brings something new to the table. The best part about seasons is that they are free to play so all players are invited to give them a go. Each season is unique. The goal is to complete objectives and challenges.

There are daily and weekly seasonal objectives. Players can earn some great rewards by completing seasonal activities. If you want to qualify for each game day, you will need to achieve the Emerald Unlimited tier. There will be four-game day events. During these events, players compete to get the best score. There will be multiple qualifying games. The pre-qualifying phase of the first game day event has started already.

The first game day will take place on October 10th, the second one on November 21st, the third on January 2nd, and the last one on February 6th. The next event will be a single-elimination tournament. This will take place on February 20th, 2021. The participants will be the 32 players that have achieved the best score during the game day events. Sixteen players are from PlayStation 4 while the remaining are Xbox One player.

The single-elimination tournament features head-to-head games. Only two players will make it to the next round. Those two will compete for the grand prize. The finals take place on March 6th, 2021. The total prize pool is $250,000. The winner gets $200,000 and the runner-up gets $50,000. All the events are played online. You have the chance to catch the games on live-streaming platforms.
